Your sleep study will be booked in the late afternoon, where you will attend the clinic to be “wired” up to our home monitoring device.

Throughout your setup, we will be advising you what each electrode will monitor and why it is important for your diagnosis, which will include ECG, EOG, EEG, EMG, Body Position, Respiratory effort, Breathing, O2 and Pulse, and Leg Movements.

Please bring along your sleep study referral, any other relevant paperwork if available (ie: previous sleep study reports ) and you pyjamas if you wear them. If you do not wear pyjamas, then please wear loose shorts/skirt and a button up shirt, and also please ensure you are not wearing makeup or facial moisturizer as it may effect the electrodes.

A consultation to review your results and discuss anything of concern will be booked for you when your results are back from the lab at no charge.

This consultation will review therapy for patients currently managed or would like to be managed by Sleep Apnoea Gold Coast that fall outside our ‘Free Consultation Offers’. We will monitor the efficacy of CPAP/APAP treatment, analyse data from your machine (if available) and make any required setting changes to your therapy device or arrange another sleep study if necessary. Mask fit will be reviewed and adjusted if required.

Please bring along all CPAP/APAP equipment and any paperwork you have regarding your diagnosis ( If available ).

( There is no charge for consultations during any rental period )

Machine Rentals

You can rent a CPAP/APAP machine for as little or as long as you like at $156.00 per month for the first 4 weeks (or $39 Per Week) , or continue to rent at $54 per week.

During your rental agreement you will be required to attend the clinic periodically to review the success and compliance to treatment. These consultations will review mask fit and comfort, changes in your symptoms and allow our techs to make the necessary clinical changes to your machine to optimize therapy and are included in your rental fees.

Rental periods are usually for 3 weeks, which is plenty of time to establish compliance and determine the right machine for you. Throughout your rental period, you may like to try different machines and our clinicians will discuss the benefits of each machine with you to help you choose the most suitable.

Up to 3 weeks of rental fees paid are reimbursable off the purchase price of any machine* from Sleep Apnoea Gold Coast, if you do decide that you want to purchase you own CPAP/APAP machine.

We can accommodate QLD Health eligible patients for their CPAP trials, please call us for more information regarding the QLD health program. *we hold valid credit card details as security against the rental machine.

If it has been recommended to start CPAP/APAP therapy but you aren’t ready to purchase your own machine, then this is the right option for you. Sleep Apnoea Gold Coast can rent a machine to you at our rental rates above for a period of up to 3 weeks. If you do decide that you want to go ahead with a purchase at anytime during the rental period, the amount you spent on your rental will be credited to your machine purchase.
